The cost of a family vacation may vary depending on your destination.
According to the US Travel Association, last month, 6 out of 10 Americans think travel is too expensive. One of the main reasons for this is the price of gas.
When you pay more to fill your car, airlines often raise the price to fill their planes.
Charles Winters, with the Huntsville-Madison County Convention and the Visitors’ Bureau, says that while prices are a bit high, holiday memories are worth the price you pay.
There is a lot of demand for travel, Winters explained. They have seen the leisure market really take off here.
Some of the government is still not traveling as they used to but the leisure market, sports market and other parties are returning to private activities.
Tristan Kelly is a server assistant at Pane E Vino. She and her friends planned to travel to the beach this summer and celebrate the birthday of someone they hadn’t seen since the epidemic began.
However, high travel costs can hinder him.
Kelly can’t even afford to go to work most of the time. He has to take rides for work most of the time.
He was planning to take my car because he got a big car on the beach, but maybe he’s not going to take it, he’ll ride with his brother then.
If a big trip is currently out of your budget, Winters recommends taking your family to stay and see some of the popular attractions in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area.
